Literacy in the Information Age. Final Report of the International Adult Literacy Survey
Beschreibung:
The International Adult Literacy Survey (IALS) was a large-scale co-operative effort by governments, national statistical agencies, research institutions and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The IALS data illustrate how literacy skills are distributed, internationally and nationally, what determines the attainment of higher levels of literacy, and what are its broader social and economic outcomes and benefits. The data presented in this publication, drawn from 20 countries over three cycles of data collection for the International Adult Literacy Survey, provide the world?s first reliable and comparable estimates of the levels and distributions of literacy skills in the adult population.
